KIME Clinicians Advancing Care and Education in Northern Nevada at the Highest Level

At KIME Performance, serving a community extends beyond the walls of the clinic.

It means providing exceptional patient care, investing in the development of future clinicians, contributing to the broader healthcare community, and helping advance the standard of practice wherever our team has the opportunity to lead.

That commitment continues in Northern Nevada as Niko Contos, DPT, joins the faculty of the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine as a Clinical Instructor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Through his faculty role, Niko will bring his clinical experience into an academic medical environment while continuing his work caring for patients at KIME.

For KIME, that intersection of clinical practice and education matters.

Bringing Clinical Experience Into Medical Education

Healthcare education is strongest when it remains connected to the realities of patient care.

As a practicing physical therapist, Niko works directly with patients navigating injury, rehabilitation, movement limitations, and the process of returning to the activities that matter to them. His faculty appointment creates another opportunity to bring that perspective into the education of healthcare professionals at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.

That exchange also benefits the clinical environment.

Teaching requires clinicians to continually examine evidence, communicate complex concepts clearly, collaborate across disciplines, and remain engaged with the evolving standards of healthcare.

Those same skills directly influence the quality of care patients receive.

Developing Clinicians Who Contribute Beyond the Clinic

Education has long been part of KIME’s approach to healthcare.

Across our organization, clinicians participate in mentorship, professional development, clinical education, sports medicine, performance, and community partnerships designed to improve the way people are cared for throughout every stage of recovery and performance.

We believe great clinicians should continue learning throughout their careers — and when given the opportunity, help others learn as well.

Niko’s role with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine reflects that philosophy.

His work will allow him to contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals while remaining actively engaged in the Northern Nevada community he serves.

Investing in the Northern Nevada Healthcare Community

KIME’s presence in Northern Nevada continues to grow, but growth is about more than adding locations or serving more patients.

It is about becoming an active contributor to the healthcare ecosystem surrounding those communities.

That means developing relationships across medicine, rehabilitation, athletics, education, and performance. It means creating opportunities for collaboration and sharing expertise. And it means placing clinicians in environments where their knowledge can have an impact beyond an individual appointment.

Having a KIME clinician represented within the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is another meaningful step in that work.

Through patient care, clinical education, and engagement throughout the region, KIME remains committed to helping strengthen the future of healthcare in Northern Nevada.
