Dr. Lauren Rigsbee (El Dorado Hills)

Lauren is a human kinetics expert who lives and breathes movement. She’s an experienced physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist. She works diligently to understand and achieve each individual’s goals by empowering and educating improved movement. Her fascination with human movement developed over a lifetime competing as a multisport athlete, including four years as an NCAA Division I softball player at San Jose State University. Lauren’s deep appreciation for the high demands placed on collegiate athletes led her to study kinesiology and later to California State University, Sacramento, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her most recent educational endeavor in human kinetics was obtaining certification in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment levels 1 and 2. When not working at KIME, Lauren enjoys challenging herself and exploring movement through snow, water, and equestrian sports. She believes in educating and empowering people to get back to doing what they love.
